This special cottage industry carder was custom designed for Elsa Leyden of Vaughn Washington, to process the fibre from her beloved alpacas. This is the Supercard's big brother - larger and faster, with the same excellence of carding as the Supercard.
Imagine producing a 10oz. Batt of alpaca (or wool) 24-27" wide, 5 feet long, every 10 minutes. A very good size for feltmaking.
Spinners can take a roving directly from the large drum, same as with the Supercard.
Its second infeed roll maintains Supercard quality at the higher production rate.
